English version

Inside the Galleria Vittorio Emauele II there is a tourist attraction: the mosaic of a bull. Because of a decorative purpose, this mosaic has been inserted in the gallery, it is the trademark of the city of Turin, first capital of the italian unification. Nearby, there are other symbols related to the cities of Milan, Florence and Rome. A superstitious custom says that you should complete three turns at 360 degrees with a pin foot placed on the attributes of the bull to get lucky. According to some beliefs, for women this gesture had powers related to fertility, while for men it was a sign of strength and vigor. Others say that this gesture was born as a way of derision against the city of Turin. Because of this tradition, the mosaic has deteriorated over the course of time, and it took several maintenance jobs to fix it. However, not everyone knows that the rotation on the bull brings luck only if carried out at midnight on December 31 and with the heel of the right foot.
